... не позволяет использовать устройство, отображать его в списке Wi-Fi или что-либо в этом роде. Ошибок тоже нет.

Я также проверил все галочки, кроме "Исходный код" на вкладке "Программное обеспечение Ubuntu" Software & Updates, выбрал "Главный сервер" в раскрывающемся списке, но на вкладке "Дополнительные драйверы" записи не отображаются.

Я должен добавить устройство к некоторой последовательности загрузки, что-нибудь подобное?
