Невозможно использовать ключи SSH, если не работает SSH с Sudo

По какой-то причине я не могу подключиться по SSH с моего компьютера с Ubuntu 15.10 к удаленному серверу, используя закрытый ключ, если я запускаю ssh без sudo.

Конфигурация на стороне сервера в порядке. Я проверил закрытый ключ с моего компьютера с Windows и с коробки CentOS, и оба могут использовать его.

Если я положу закрытый ключ в ~/.ssh аутентификация не удалась, и мне предложили ввести пароль. Однако, если я вставлю тот же закрытый ключ в /root/.ssh и использовать sudo ssh Я могу подключиться как обычно.

Работает: sudo ssh user@host.com -vvv

Не работает: ssh user@host.com -vvv

Я заметил это в подробном выводе SSH.

Без Sudo: предложение открытого ключа RSA: /home/matt/.ssh/id_rsa

С Sudo: пробуем закрытый ключ: /root/.ssh/id_rsa

До этой строки вывод такой же.

Использование рута .ssh каталог не конец света, но это не кажется правильным.

Кто-нибудь знает, почему он не работает с ключом ssh в домашнем каталоге моего пользователя?
