Recoll 1.20.1 prebuilt - configure.ac не распознан - "./configure" и "make" не работают

Руководство по установке Recoll говорит просто установить с make а также make installОднако это не работает для меня, хотя есть configure.ac файл, который выглядит нормально для меня, если посмотреть на него в Gedit.
